Health Economist and Reimbursement Manager (Europe and Asia)

Location: Sweden

My Client is a clinically based medical technology company that leads the way in the development of devices in respiratory. This role has come about through organic growth and the expansion in to the American Market. This is a very rare opportunity for a Health Economist looking for an opportunity of a life time to drive the company and its key products to a global level.

The main role of the Reimbursement Manager is to establish payor acceptance, coverage and reimbursement for my client’s products outside the USA, i.e. in key European countries and key markets in Asia (primarily Japan and China).

Some key responsibilities shall be:

  • Have knowledge about trends and keep abreast of new developments within reimbursement systems
  • Refine the existing reimbursement strategy and implement it in order to obtain reimbursement for existing products
  • Lobby key reimbursement opinion leaders
  • Ensure consistent reimbursement data and strategy throughout Europe and Asia
  • Obtain required reimbursement coding
  • Provide input to reimbursement sales tools to the sales and distribution team
  • Create a publication strategy for reimbursement support

Qualifications

  • Have worked in a consultancy/Pharma environment with good knowledge of reimbursement management
  • Experience from health outcome studies, good understanding for study designs required by payors.
  • Proficiency in English writing and presentation skills

In conjunction with Kings College London, we are looking for someone to develop and teach on an exciting new modular MSc in Health Economics, Policy and Management, as well as contribute to research activities both at the LSE and KCL.
