Applications are invited to join an enthusiastic and busy health economics team at the National Collaborating Centre for Primary Care (NCC-PC), which is part of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP). The NCC-PC develops evidence based guidelines taking account of both clinical and cost effectiveness for the NHS on behalf of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).
We are looking for a health economist or someone with quantitative skills from a health related, scientific or social science background. You should have an understanding of cost-effectiveness analysis and/or decision analytic modelling, and be able to critically appraise published health economic evidence. An ability to use and/or build decision models will be an advantage. You should have good communication skills (both oral and written). You will work within a multidisciplinary collaborative team, and have responsibility for the economics of two Guidelines, with support from the NCC-PC Head of Health Economics.
