Ludwigs-Maximilians-Universität (LMU), Munich School of Management, one of Germany’s leading institutions for education and research in the field of management and economics is inviting applications for a

Professorship of Management, in particular Health Services Management
(W 2) for 6 years / tenure track

This position is part of the “Munich Center of Health Sciences“, a new research center which has been created by the LMUinnovativ programme. The professorship shall include the management and establishment of a research unit, especially dealing with the management of health care providers and the management of health care for chronic diseases, at the Helmholtz Center Munich, German Research Center for Environmental Health. In teaching and education, contributions to the Bachelor and Master programs in management are expected.

Candidates must have completed a PhD with distinction and further outstanding research. Initially, candidates will be employed in a civil-servant position limited to six years. Tenure can be granted after three years after positive evaluations and matching the legal requirements. Only in special cases, corresponding with outstanding qualifications, immediate tenure could be granted.

A candidate should not be older than 52 years when being appointed.
