Senior Director of Pharmacoeconomics
Location: Ireland
My client is a large global biotech that focus’s on Neuroscience. Due to a large pipeline and relocation, they have senior positions in the HE&OR department. The primary function of this position will be to provide pharmacoeconomics expertise to maximize the revenue of my client’s products. You will develop, implement and manage a pharmacoeconomics research strategy in support of the company’s European product objectives.
The role will work in collaboration with appropriate departments in developing and executing pharmacoeconomic initiatives to expand the use and reimbursement of products. You will also work closely with the Reimbursement team and the Sales and Marketing department to develop pharmacoeconomically sound advertising, promotional and educational materials for use with both external customers.
Key responsibilities
- Assign work and provide training to employees.
- Participate in hiring and salary decisions, and assist in managing employee performance.
- Create a work environment aligned with the company values.
- Communicate business objectives, coach and develops employees, and provide motivating work environment.
- Manage employee performance and conduct annual performance appraisal.
- Strong commercial orientation and be an effective communicator, especially with senior/executive management, external payor groups.
- A track record of successfully influencing product reimbursement is required.
- Must be a critical and creative thinker who possesses strong project management capabilities.
- Exhibits excellent strategic thinking, including the ability to help define the future and make the appropriate economic and business decisions to get there.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree
- The ideal candidate will have an understanding of the economic drivers and marketing dynamics associated with the successful launch of hospital-based, specialty pharmaceutical products. In addition, this person must understand the competitive economic dynamics of the biopharmaceutical industry in Europe, as well as other major markets around the world.
Travel required: 10-20 %
