Business Analyst III

Summary:

The Finance Support and Analysis Senior Analyst supports the work of the Application Support Area in Finance Support and Analysis by providing expertise in the development and implementation of technical solutions for Finance business processes. Will work with FSA team on rating model development and maintenance, technical projects, technical business process redesign initiatives, technological enhancements, and ongoing reporting infrastructure development. Will work closely with IT to monitor the integrity and utility of Finance applications. Will contribute to Finance decision support strategy. In this role, the senior analyst will work with the senior leaders in Finance to assist in implementing key departmental projects to ensure annual corporate goals are met.

Requirements: The FSA Senior Analyst Application Support Team must have a strong programming, project management and health care analysis background. The educational requirements needed to support this position mandate a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, analytical, technical or project management discipline, with preference for a master’s degree.

The work background should include 5 to 7 years of experience in a business environment with a focus on business systems design and health care utilization analysis. This position requires a solid understanding of actuarial, underwriting and financial principles and the ability to work in a team environment.

Prior experience in developing technical solutions is preferred. Data collection, analysis & presentation; knowledge of project management tools & techniques; and financial analyses are required. Strong computer skills including databases, spreadsheets and graphical presentation packages and strong written/verbal and presentation skills including the ability to effectively communicate technical information are essential.
