Full-Time Faculty Position: Boston University School of Public Health, Health Policy and Management Department

The Department of Health Policy and Management at Boston University invites applications for a full-time faculty position. Rank and area of expertise are open. The successful candidate will be committed to teaching (2-3 courses annually), advising in the MPH program, and pursuing nationally important research in health policy or management. A doctoral degree and teaching experience are required. Capability of securing extramural funding is highly desirable, as is work experience in health care delivery.

The Department is multidisciplinary, with faculty engaged in cutting edge health services, policy and management research. Information about our educational programs and faculty research can be found online.

Faculty Position in Economics/ Public Policy: University of California, Irvine, The Paul Merage School of Business

The Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine seeks candidates for one position as a tenured Associate or Full Professor in the Economics/Public Policy area to begin July 1, 2008. We seek candidates with an outstanding research record in health care and health economics with an applied research focus. Candidates should hold a PhD in economics, and we especially encourage applications from individuals with backgrounds in empirical industrial organization (though we are open to applicants with backgrounds in other applied microeconomic fields as well). The ideal candidate will also show interest in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels as well as actively participating in the development of the Merage School’s new Center for Health Care Management and Policy. Salary will be competitive.

3rd Call for Proposals for the Alan Williams Health Economics Fellowships

The Centre for Health Economics / University of York is pleased to announce the 3rd Call for Proposals for the Alan Williams Health Economics Fellowships. The University of York established the Fellowships in recognition of Professor Alan Williams’ achievements and as a lasting tribute to Alan and his work. We invite applications for the Fellowships from early career researchers currently working in university departments or research institutes outside the UK wishing to visit the Centre for Health Economics (CHE). Application details are on the CHE website.

There is also a scheme for researchers employed by CHE to apply for a Fellowship to visit a research institution outside the UK.
