US Pricing and Reimbursement Consultant: RTI International

Location: Research Triangle, North Carolina, USA

RTI’s Health Solutions unit has an immediate opening. The US Pricing and Reimbursement Consultant will provide pricing and reimbursement services by assisting clients in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device industry with strategies established for market access, pricing, and reimbursement.

Job Description

  • Design and conduct quantitative and qualitative research with US payers (and, if applicable, physicians, and patients) to assist clients with strategies for market access, pricing, and reimbursement.
  • Conduct pharmaceutical pricing, market and reimbursement landscape assessments to inform product development and launch strategies.
  • Maintain awareness of US health policy issues that affect the development, adoption and diffusion of pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device products.
  • Support organization and maintenance of payer research resources (e.g., US payer network, subcontractors, e-newsletter).
  • Support strategic efforts to develop RTI-HS as a leader in US and international pricing and reimbursement services.
  • Support US payer research proposal and project teams, providing content development, analytical research.
  • Work within multidisciplinary, multinational teams, providing a US market perspective.
  • Work with health economists and outcomes researchers to incorporate the results of payer research into product health outcomes research strategies and plans.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree or higher in a health-related field, or MBA.
  • Must have a minimum of 2-4 years relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical industry, consulting or related experience.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical pricing & reimbursement, market analysis and/or health technology assessment preferred.
  • Must have experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have strong meeting and presentation skills for interfacing with client/customers.
  • Must have experience working in both multidisciplinary and multinational teams, and also be an enthusiastic and effective team player.
  • Must have exceptional communication, written and verbal, and organizational skills.
  • Should have strong proficiency in MS office skills.

This position will be US-based, preferably in RTP.
