Closing date: 10 May 2007
(REF: ATR695)
A competitive salary package is available for an outstanding candidate.
The Health Economics Group, based within the Faculty of Health at UEA, was established over 10 years ago and under the leadership of Professor Miranda Mugford has built a reputation as one of the leading centres for health economics and related research in Europe. The Group has extensive links across the Faculty, University, Region and UK in many areas, including the assessment of costs and benefits, decision making and systematic review.
With the establishment of an additional Research focused Chair in Health Economics comes an exciting opportunity for an experienced health economist to join and lead this flourishing Group. Although a preference is for someone with established research interests and experience within the areas already developed by the Group, the primary qualification will be the vision for the Group and a demonstrated ability to lead.
The post holder will possess:
- A good postgraduate qualification in health economics.
- An international reputation in health economics research as evidenced by high quality publications and research income.
- Substantial experience in leading research projects and, ideally, research teams.
- Experience in collaborative, inter-disciplinary, research projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
The post will be based in the Health Economics Group and the post holder will be expected to develop the Group and instigate collaborative research with the wider Faculty at the University.
