Post Doctoral Position In Social Epidemiology: French National Institute of Health and Medical Research and University Pierre & Marie Curie Paris, France

Location: Paris, France

In the context of its research program on social determinants of health and utilization of healthcare system, the Research unit in epidemiology, information systems and modelling (see http://www.u707.jussieu.fr/) - a joint department of the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and of the University Pierre & Marie Curie in Paris - is seeking for a foreign (French and/or English speaking) post-doctoral student.

The position is open in one of the four research teams of the unit, the one dealing with the study of the social determinants of health and healthcare utilization (see http://www.b3e.jussieu.fr/ds3). This team manages a representative cohort study in the Paris region to study the social determinants of health with specific focuses on urban health, health of migrants and minorities, impacts of social exclusion and contextual and spatial analysis of social inequalities in health. It comprises already one senior researcher, two post doctoral students, 4 PhD students and 4 research assistants.

This position is available for a non-French post doc < 40 years old, during 6 to 12 months (to be possibly renewed). Competitive salary (according to experience) will be funded by INSERM or other French agencies, regarding the research project of the applicant.

The selection criteria will concern particularly: his/her publications and experiences in social epidemiology, as well as his/her ability to produce collaborative and/or comparative research with the host research team.
