Economist / Statistician: Wolters Kluwer Health / Pharma Solutions Business Unit

Accept the challenge of this critical support position in our growing Health Economics and Outcomes Research Business unit. As a technical specialist in the areas of Health Economics, Econometric Methods and/or Statistics, you will work closely with lead researchers to ensure the development of appropriate and state-of-the-art methodologies to address client questions. We will expect you to develop a national reputation as a methodologist in the areas of Health Economics and Outcomes Research.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical oversight, and services for Outcomes Research projects
- Developing and expanding methodologies
- Working directly with methodology sophisticated external clients
- Training and supporting research staff in the appropriate application of methodologies to business problems
- Continually reviewing literature and evaluating outcomes research studies in order to maintain up-to-date with current methods and improving the quality of solutions provided to clients
- Educating other staff members
- Sharing clinical and economic expertise within outcomes research and patients studies
Consideration for this exciting and challenging opportunity demands:
- Professional degree in healthcare or equivalent
- Ph.D. degree required
- At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries, preferably in a consulting role
- At least 5 years of experience in the health outcomes, pharmacoeconomics and economics arena
- Proficiency in SAS, STATA, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
