Full-Time Senior Investigator: UCLA, David Geffen School of Medicine

UCLA Division of General Internal Medicine and Health Services Research in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine is recruiting a full-time senior investigator to conduct scholarly work relevant to health care and delivery. A commitment from the Department of Medicine supports this academic position.
Qualifications are Ph.D. or equivalent level with expertise in epidemiology, economics, biostatistics, decision-making, demography, sociology, interventions or qualitative methods. The candidate should have proven leadership abilities, successful mentoring, and demonstrated skills in defining cutting-edge research questions and designs. In addition, the applicant should have a sustained history of excellent peer-review publications and funding. The candidate should meet standards for appointment at or for promotion to the level of Full Professor.
The individual should lead their own research program and enrich the collaborative nature of the Division by participating in both new and ongoing efforts pertinent to health services, policies, and interventions for improving health. Responsibilities will include increasing the visibility of Division research nationally, bringing in research funds, mentoring junior faculty, presentation of research findings, and teaching research methods to faculty and fellows.
Teaching responsibilities will be structured to allow ample time for research. Opportunities exist for collaboration with a large group of active researchers associated with the Schools of Medicine, Public Health, Policy, Nursing, Dentistry and the College of Letters and Sciences. The Division is one of the premiere sites in the country for the training of health services researchers.
