Project Manager: University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Description: Direct the day to day operations of multiple pharmaceutical health economics and health policy research related research projects. The project manager (PM) will have primary responsibility for the production of interim reports to the funding source describing the study’s progress and findings, preparing PowerPoint slide presentations and poster productions, and will assist in writing scientific abstracts, manuscripts, and external reports. The PM will manage the study’s budget, ensure adherence to the research protocols, assure high quality research is conducted by study personnel, and verify compliance with regulatory issues with the Internal Review Board. The PM will supervise the work of research assistants assigned to the projects, and will also manage and conduct a survey of state policies on an NIH funded project.

Qualifications: Minimum of a Master’s degree in an appropriate field (health economics, health policy, health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, health administration, business, etc.) is required for this position, and outstanding interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills are essential. Experience as a manager is highly preferred. Familiarity with basic statistical data analysis preferred. Excellent writing skills and experience preparing visual presentations is absolutely necessary. Prior experience in pharmaceutical/health care research or in health care settings is preferred. Position contingent upon funding.
