Director, Survey Center: American Dental Association

The position’s main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, in consultation with the managing vice president, directing, managing and administering the Survey Center department and Association-wide (including subsidiaries) survey research; developing budgets for Association-wide survey research; publishing and disseminating the results of Association-collected data; analyzing and interpreting data collected by the Association in the conduct of survey research; promoting non-dues revenue through the sale and dissemination of Association survey research.

This position requires a PhD in Economics or some area of business and a minimum of five years of technical research work experience, OR a Master’s degree and a minimum of seven years of technical research work experience; proven management experience including budgeting, administration, personnel and project management; must have previous experience with statistical instruments and managing multiple projects across multiple agencies and levels; excellent interpersonal/people, oral/written communications and organizational skills; and attention to detail. Highly desirable skills include: experience in marketing research; understanding health care policy research, dental issues, economic theory, publishing, technology as it relates to the Internet; prior Association or non-for-profit experience.
