Health Economist: IMS Health
Location: Barcelona, Spain
Purpose of the Job: To provide high quality, timely development and on-time input to client solutions for the pharmaceutical and related industries in the area of health economics and disease modeling. Assignments will range in complexity from basic analysis and problem solving, assisting in the development of more complex solutions to leading small teams.
The position is client facing, and the successful applicant will be involved in projects from the acquisition and proposal writing phase to ensuring final delivery of high quality deliverables, including computer simulation models, manuscripts, reports, abstracts and presentations generated by the applicant and the project team. Manages multiple HEOR projects of varying complexity and ensures on-time and on-budget delivery for clients in the pharmaceutical or related industries. Contributes to new business development and maintaining and strengthening client base. To define and deliver specific project components ensuring assigned components meet agreed business objectives, agreed schedule and agreed budget.
Principal Accountabilities
Assists Senior Consultants and Directors with the review and analysis of client requirements or problems and the development of proposals for cost-effective solutions. May lead a small team of analysts to deliver client solutions. Develops detailed documentation and specifications. Performs quantitative or qualitative analysis to assist in the identification of client issues and the development of client specific solutions. Designs, structures, and delivers presentations that are appropriate to the characteristics or needs of the audience with some senior input.
Proactively develops broad knowledge of related consulting methodologies and pharmaceutical market through the delivery of consulting engagements and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities. Engagement based responsibilities are largely directed by more senior consultants, engagement managers or principals.
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with proven related experience.
- Post-graduate qualification in a related discipline would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of TreeAge software.
