Description: BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE-BE) is one of the world’s largest Management and Technology Consulting companies dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations. The BearingPoint Healthcare Team is currently searching for a Project Manager.

The Project Management Consultant will work full time at client-sites to assist BearingPoint clients in creating, maintaining and providing status reports for project plans and for their large-scale and complex transformation initiatives. They will assist the Program Manager with implementation and integration within master project schedule including status reporting. The Project Management Consultant will communicate the status of each project with clients and with other Project and Program Managers on a regular basis. The Project Management Consultant will travel to multiple learning centers to work with client subject matter experts to define project scope, task, the durations and deliverables for impending relocations. The Consultant will monitor the timely completion of planned project tasks with appropriate departments and communicate delays that occur. The Consultant will recommend alternatives to internal and external management to get projects back on track.

The Consultant will professionally and gracefully manage client relationships with military and civilian leaders and their staffs as well as support clients to achieve their business transformation initiatives by proactively identifying and addressing risks and issues. The Consultant will prepare and present professional, high-quality, and timely deliverables and status reports.

  • Understanding of Scope Definition processes and work breakdown structures
  • Understanding of process mapping; process structures and components
  • Serve as liaison between client users, client technical team and BE support staff for Project /Program /Portfolio Management tools

Qualifications

Position-specific Requirements

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Project
  • Minimum 3 yrs working in Project Management (must have)
  • General Project Management Skills
  • Must be able to travel locally
  • 3 years of experience related to systems integration, business transformation and/or project management
  • Professional, proactive self-starter who is skilled both at formulating a strategic view for achieving long-range objectives and also formulating and executing tactical plans to meet day-to-day needs
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in environment of quick turnaround times and rapidly changing requirements

Position-specific Desired Skills

  • Strong leadership abilities, as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certified (plus)
  • Experience with Microsoft Project Web Access (plus)
  • 3 years of prior internal or external consulting experience
  • Experience integrating multiple Project Management Plans Logistics
  • Travel requirement - minimal
  • PhD, PharmD, or M.D
