Assistant / Associate Professor: Pharmacy Health Care Administration, College of Pharmacy at the University of Florida

The Department of Pharmacy Health Care Administration in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Florida is seeking to fill a 12-month, tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Applicants must possess an earned doctorate in behavioral research, pharmacoeconomics, health economics, pharmacoepidemiology, or a health services research-related field. An undergraduate or professional degree in Pharmacy is desirable, but not required. The ideal candidate will possess an outstanding research record or potential for developing a competitively-funded research program, as well as a strong interest, competence, and commitment to excellence in teaching in the professional and graduate programs.

The position is located at the main campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville, the flagship academic research institution of the State of Florida. The successful applicant will complement a vibrant research program with 9 faculty and approximately 20 doctoral students. The program is housed in the health science campus that includes the Colleges of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Health Professions, and Veterinary Medicine. A close working relationship between the health sciences colleges offers an environment conducive for interdisciplinary and translational research.

The search committee will begin reviewing applications immediately and will continue to accept applications until August 15, 2007. The search may be reopened if no suitable candidate is recruited. The appointment could start as early as December 2007.
