Health Economics Manager, Europe: Sanofi Pasteur MSD, Strategic Marketing / Market Services

Location: Lyon, France

Job: Within the Market Services unit, to set up, coordinate and carry out the health-economics studies needed to elaborate pertinent medico-economic argumentation for SPMSD vaccines in Europe.

  • Marketing & Medical Countries departments
  • Outcome Research departments of our two shareholders

Responsibilities:

Elaboration / Carrying out of H.E. Studies

  • To elaborate H.E. studies plan in collaboration with Strategic Marketing and Medical & Scientific Services departments, and possibly in collaboration with the Outcome Research departments of our two shareholders:
    • Including literature review and monitoring in order to identify knowledge gaps and to define additional studies to carry out
    • To set up and coordinate planned studies
  • To select and manage external agencies for subcontracted studies
  • To use H.E. studies results (communications and publications)
  • To built specific tools:
    • Value-pack including all data regarding the disease and the vaccine value (epidemiology; cost-effectiveness analysis)
    • To create simulation and budget impact tools in order to simulate the impact of various vaccination strategies

Coordination / Support

  • Coordination with countries marketing and medical correspondents to carry out and communicate European H.E. studies
  • To bring a methodological support to the countries for the development of local studies

Health Economics

  • To ensure a regular updating of the information and databases relative to health systems and vaccines environment, both at local and European levels.

Profile Requested

Necessary skills:

  • Analytical and synthesis skills
  • Ability to manage complex projects in a multicultural and multifunctional environment

Technical knowledge:

  • Fluent in English is essential
  • Any other European language would be a plus
  • Good computer skills

Training / Professional experience:

  • Both scientific/pharmacist and Health Economics diploma
  • 3 to 5 years as H.E. manager in the pharmaceutical industry, or as a H.E. consultant
  • Experience in an international environment appreciated (corporate highly appreciated)
