Tenure track, Assistant Professor to Associate Professor level: Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Department of International Health - Health Systems Program

Location: Baltimore, Maryland, USA

Fields: International Program Evaluation & Health Systems Management

Role and Responsibilities: The faculty member in International Program Evaluation will work on designing and implementing impact evaluations of public health interventions and initiatives, including broader health sector reforms, at the local and global level.

The faculty member in Health Systems Management will work on systems strengthening programs and research projects in low- and middle-income countries in the following areas: health systems management; human resources management; institutional change; and health sector reform.

For both positions, he or she will form an integral part of the teaching programs in the Health Systems Program in the Department of International Health. Specifically, he or she will have graduate-level teaching responsibilities in related thematic areas and will advise masters and doctoral level students.

Qualifications: Eligible candidates should have a doctoral level degree in the field of public health or social sciences and other related fields, and have experience working in low- or middle-income countries. A track record of research and publications in the areas of international program evaluation or health systems management is important.

The Health Systems Program

The Health Systems Program is devoted to providing excellence in graduate education, professional development, research and partnerships between health professionals, institutions, governments and the communities they serve, in order to build, and utilize capacity in health policy and financing; health planning, management, and evaluation; public health education; institution building; community development; research in organization, financing and management of health systems, to improve the performance of health systems around the world; and, public health management in disasters.
