The Associate Director / Director will assess the need for and incorporate economic outcomes measures into clinical research plans. The candidate will collaborate with the clinical team in the design, analysis and reporting of economic data from these clinical trials. The candidate will serve on and provide statistical guidance to an interdisciplinary team responsible for developing cost-effectiveness and budget impact models used to project the impact of drugs and vaccines on patient outcomes and cost. The candidate will provide technical guidance to the Global Outcomes Research department in adapting these economic models in accordance with local requirements/guidelines to support global reimbursement needs. The candidate is also expected to identify and pursue solutions to methodological issues arising in the conduct and analysis of economic studies.
The Associate Director / Director will identify member(s) of the staff to work on new compounds within a franchise and work with the Global Outcomes Research lead to establish priorities across the product portfolio within a franchise. The candidate will be responsible for mentoring other members in the department on technical/statistical issues related to model development and the analysis of economic endpoints in clinical trials.
Required: Advanced degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Econometrics or a closely related discipline; PhD with 4+ years experience analyzing clinical trial data and/or large observational databases; or MS with 8+ years experience. Knowledge in SAS; effective oral and written communication skills.
Desired: Experience in conducting meta analyses and bayesian methods; experience in developing simulation models is a plus.
