Health Services Research Faculty Positions: University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin, USA

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), located in Madison, Wisconsin, seeks candidates for tenured/tenure track or non-tenure track faculty appointments through an innovative hiring initiative that will provide 3-year full salary support for faculty positions in health services research. We are particularly interested in clinician-researchers and candidates with research interests in care coordination, patient safety, shared decisions, end-of-life care, disparities in care, value and efficiency, and health care technology.

The successful candidates will join a highly interdisciplinary community of health services researchers in the SMPH Health Innovation Program (HIP). Potential departmental affiliations include Population Health Sciences and/or clinical departments such as Family Medicine, Medicine/Cardiology, and many others.

Candidates will possess an MD, PhD, MD/PhD or equivalent terminal degree. Practicing MDs will be board-eligible or certified and eligible for Wisconsin medical licensure. Successful candidates will have appropriate training, experience, and academic credentials for the proposed faculty rank and track.

Successful candidates will contribute to the research, service and educational missions of the School of Medicine and Public Health and the broader University. This includes an active health services research program, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary research and collaboration with clinical teams. Interest in clinical and/or graduate teaching is desirable.
