As there is no obligation to follow courses in Rotterdam the programme is especially suited for those holding a (fulltime or part-time) position in research or health care, and at the same time wanting to acquire a PhD degree. A professor of the staff of the department will be appointed as supervisor (promoter) of the candidate's work and dissertation.
