Travel Visa Invitation Letter Request

Many non-residents will require a Temporary Resident Visa when entering Canada. To determine if you will require a visa, please refer to the Citizenship and Immigration Canada web site.

Temporary Resident Visas require an accompanying letter of invitation issued by the host organizing committee to ensure proper processing.

Please note that – other than bone fide developing region scholarship applicants – official letters of invitation will ONLY be issued once outstanding memberships and congress fees are paid in full - NO EXCEPTIONS.

Application processing varies by country, so iHEA strongly suggests you request your letter as soon as possible. Citizenship and Immigration Canada advises that the type of invitation letter (original signed copy versus electronic PDF version) will vary from country to country. It is strongly suggested that you begin this process as early as possible, and to confirm with the nearest Canadian Embassy or Consulate Office to confirm their specific requirements. It is the YOUR responsibility to ensure that the documentation provided is sufficient. To simplify the process, it is recommended that you indicate that you are “attending a scientific conference” when referencing the reason for your trip.

iHEA CANNOT intercede or contact Citizenship and Immigration Canada, its embassies, consulates or missions on behalf of congress visa applicants. Any expedited courier fees will solely be the responsibility of the delegate.

iHEA will NOT accept invitation letter requests by e-mail. To request a letter please go to:

http://www.healtheconomics.org/congress/2011/invitation/
