The Horace H. This unique forum will gather experts from diverse perspectives to address the issue of cancer health disparities in the United States. We intend to explore the current state of knowledge in this field, to discuss the impact of the current economic crisis on health disparities, and to focus particular attention on current and future interventions and policy initiatives that may ameliorate these inequities.
We are pleased to announce a Call for Papers to be included in our session entitled, “The Economics of Cancer Health Disparities.” This session will be held on Friday, May 21, 2010. Papers will be accepted for review that address relevant topics that include, but are not limited to, income, employment, state, federal, and non-profit budgets, and health states for patients at risk for or diagnosed with cancer. A special emphasis will be placed on papers that discuss innovative solutions for cancer prevention and care in the setting of economic challenges.
