Call for Abstracts: First Annual Midwestern Health Economics Study Group Conference

Sponsored by the Institute of Government and Public Affairs at the University of Illinois

The purpose of this invitational conference is to present and promote active exchange and discussion of the latest health economics research among senior and junior economists. Some meals will be provided. All other expenses, including transportation and lodging, are the participants’ responsibility.

Ten papers will be accepted for presentation. The conference will consist of a full day of presentations on Thursday, May 13 and a half-day of presentations on Friday, May 14. There will be approximately 10 papers with each paper allotted 60 minutes. While submissions are invited from any geographical location, preference will be given to presenters from the Midwestern region of the United States.

If you would like to participate, please submit an abstract (maximum of two pages) in electronic format to losasso@uic.edu by February 1. Submissions should be unpublished. Decisions will be made by February 17. Completed papers must be received by the conference organizers by April 15.
