Call for Papers: Health Economics of Aging and Dementia, Journal of Nutrition, Health and Aging

We would like to invite you to submit a paper to a Special Issue of the Journal of Nutrition, Health and Aging, on the topic of the Health Economics of Aging and Dementia.
The Journal of Nutrition, Health and Aging is the official journal of the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics. The Journal of Nutrition, Health and Aging is growing fast, with a 2008 Impact Factor of 2.32. It is indexed in MEDLINE/Index Medicus, in Current Contents/Clinical Medicine, in Journal Citation Reports/Science Edition, in Science Citation Index Expanded (Sci Search), in EXCERPTA MEDICA (EMBASE and BIOBASE), in Mental Health Abstracts, and in Chemical Abstracts (CA).
The goal of this Special Issue is to promote Health Economics results in Aging and Dementia, with a particular focus on Alzheimer’s disease.
Submitted original research or review papers for this special issue should pertain to the following topics:
- Pharmacoeconomics considerations of new therapies for Alzheimer’s disease
- Economic evaluation of existing therapies for Alzheimer’s disease and their comparators
- Cost-of-illness and Alzheimer’s disease burden
- Quality-of-life evaluation of drug therapies
- Drug utilization and healthcare resource allocation in the Elderly
- Health care disparities
- Methodological issues in Health Economics Studies of Dementia
Papers will be selected by the Journal of Nutrition, Health and Aging Special Issue Editorial Board. The Journal of Nutrition, Health and Aging manuscript peer-review criteria will be used.

Please note: for this Special Issue, we are requesting manuscripts to be no longer than 3,500 words, exclusive of abstract, acknowledgments, figures, tables, and references. Manuscripts are allowed to have a total of 5 figures and/or tables and no more than 50 references. A structured abstract is required.
