Economics, Ethics and Health Care Funding: UBC Faculty of Medicine and Vancouver Island Health Authority

A one-day workshop for health service decision makers, practitioners and researchers interested in practical and transparent methods for determining how to allocate available health funding will be held in Victoria, British Columbia, on June 15, 2006.
The course will be run by four international experts in priority setting: Dr. Cam Donaldson, Dr. Craig Mitton, Dr.Stuart Peacock and Dr. Jennifer Gibson.
Topics to be covered include health economic principles, approaches to priority setting, contribution of ethics, organizational challenges, the use of evidence and benefit valuation.
