1. From the Airport to Pompeu Fabra

By Train

  • Take the RENFE train Line 1 at the airport
  • Get off after 4 stops at: Arc de Triomf Station (if you're staying in a city centre hotel get off at Plaza Catalunya and use any of the metro lines)
  • Go down by Passeig de Lluís Companys until you reach Passeig de Pujades and turn left.
  • Walk by Passeig de Pujades until you reach Ramon Trias Fargas, turn right and Pomeu Fabra University is number 25

  • One way: 2,30 euro (purchase the ticket at the station)

From the Train Station to Pompeu Fabra

From Sants Train Station:

  • Take the Metro line 1-FEIXA LLARGA/FONDO at the station PLAÇA DE SANTS and after 7 stops get off at URQUINAONA
  • Take the Metro line 4-TRINITAT NOVA/LA PAU at the station URQUINAONA and after 3 stops get off at CIUTADELLA
  • UPF is 50 meters from there heading west (opposite to the sea) Address: Ramon Trias Fargas 25-27

    From França/Francia Train Station:

  • Take the ‘Passeig de la Circumvalació' street walk 10 minutes North direction (you will pass a basket/soccer court on your left hand side)
  • When you reach Ramon Trias Fargas street (just after a car parking) turn left
  • Pompeu Fabra University is the second building on your left hand side

Information Desk

There is an information desk located near the Registration area in the Atrium. In addition a number of Congress helpers will be available at all times and will be happy to deal with participants' queries. Helpers can by identified by their staff T-shirt.

Message Board

A message board is located near the Registration Desk.

Congress Badges

Each registered attendee will receive a Congress name badge. This badge MUST BE WORN at all times. Due to heightened security only attendees wearing official Congress name badges will be admitted to Congress functions and sessions. Access to the Gala Dinner is by name badge only. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Smoking

Smoking is NOT permitted in or near any Congress area.

Attire

Dress for the conference will be informal business casual (i.e., jackets, ties, dresses not required) but delegates may wish to dress more formally for the banquet.

Poster Sessions

Posters will be displayed in the Atrium between 0800 and 1700 on Monday 11, Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 July. A new set of posters will be displayed on each day. Please ensure all posters are removed from the Atrium at the end of each day.

Student Prize Competition

Prizes will be awarded on Tuesday, 12 July at the evening Plenary.

Poster Prize Competition

Winners will be announced on Wednesday, 13 July at the Closing Plenary. Posters will be displayed in the Atrium each day between 0800 and 1700 (8am to 5pm).
